Bollywood's very own Dharmendra was inspired to enter films by the acting legend Dilip Kumar.

Dharmendra has revealed many times that he was inspired to enter films by watching Dilip Kumar's films. When he was in the tenth grade, he first saw Dilip Kumar's film "Shaheed." After this, he fell in love with Dilip Kumar's acting skills.

Dharmendra has always considered Dilip Kumar his god, brother, and idol. Sharing a video on Instagram, Dharmendra once said, "I used to work and commute on my bicycle. Wherever there were film posters, I would see my reflection in them. I would stay up all night and dream the unreal. In the morning, I would wake up and ask the mirror, 'Can I become Dilip Kumar?'"

Dharmendra began his film career with the 1960 film "Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere." After this, Dharmendra worked in many super-hit films and ruled the hearts of the audience.

Dharmendra began his film career with director Arjun Hingorani's film, "Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere," released in 1960. He received only 51 rupees for this film. Even after this film, Dharmendra only took nominal payments for all the films he worked with Arjun Hingorani. Hingorani family remained indebted to Dharmendra throughout his life.

Dharmendra once revealed on Salman Khan's show "10 Ka Dum" that he received 51 rupees for his first film, "Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere." Dharmendra appeared on the episode with his eldest son, Sunny Deol. Salman Khan asked Dharmendra about his salary for his first film. Dharmendra said he had got a film with Arjun Hingorani. There were three partners, and I was sitting on the edge of the cabin thinking I would get at least 5,000 rupees, but they gave me only 51 rupees as my signing amount.
