Bhopal Van Mela: Dinosaur Sculpture Remains a Center of Curiosity; Children Enthrall Visitors with Their Skills

Bhopal: On the third day of the Van Mela (Forest Fair), a huge interest was seen among people in purchasing herbal products from the morning onward. The dinosaur sculpture in the exhibition put up by the Eco-Tourism Board remained a center of curiosity for the people. Visitors showed great interest in buying the new products prepared by MFP Park and in obtaining information about their uses.

The method of making Sabai rope and leaf plates by the Gadarwara committee of the Narsinghpur District Union also remained a center of attraction for the general public. 



The bamboo furniture and decorative items manufactured by the Harda and Balaghat District Unions are also being appreciated by the people. In addition, people are enthusiastically buying useful and health-beneficial food items made from a mixture of herbs by various district unions, primary forest produce cooperative societies, and Van-Dhan centers of the state.

School Students' Fancy Dress / Solo Acting Competition

In the program held today, approximately 20 students from 6 schools participated in the fancy dress/solo acting competition. The children enthralled the audience with their skill.

The participants who secured first, second, and third positions in the competitions were awarded prizes by the Managing Director of the federation, Dr. Samita Rajora.

In the OPD established for free medical treatment, more than 250 people were benefited by receiving free consultations from more than 105 Ayurvedic doctors and traditional practitioners. This OPD will continue to provide free services daily during the fair period.

December 20 Programs

Free medical camp will be held from 10:30 AM onwards. From 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM, a drawing competition will be held for students. From 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM, there will be a performance of Bundeli folk singing, followed by Rajasthani folk dance from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.  



Simultaneously, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, the Sargam Musical Group will present an orchestra performance.  At 7:00 PM, a flash mob will be presented by Mansarovar Ayurvedic College, followed by a performance titled "An Evening Dedicated to the Forest Department" (Forest Melody).
