IND vs. SA T20: India defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in the third T20 match. On Sunday evening, the Indian team chased down the target of 118 runs in 15.5 overs with three wickets down. Shivam Dube hit two consecutive boundaries to seal the victory for India. He remained unbeaten on 10 runs. Captain Suryakumar Yadav scored 12, Abhishek Sharma 35, and Shubman Gill 28 runs.
At the Dharamshala stadium, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to bowl first. The South African team, batting first, was all out for 117 runs. They had lost 3 wickets for just 7 runs. Quinton de Kock was dismissed for one run, Reeza Hendricks for zero, and Dewald Brevis for 2 runs.
Aiden Markram held the innings together from one end, but he was eventually dismissed after scoring 61 runs off 46 balls. Besides him, Donovan Ferreira contributed 20 runs. For India, Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakravarthy, and Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each. Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube claimed one wicket each.
In reply, the Indian openers provided an explosive start. Abhishek-Gill pair forged a 68-run partnership off 31 balls. After Abhishek (35 runs off 18 balls) was dismissed, Tilak Varma came in and guided India to victory. He remained unbeaten on 26 runs. Arshdeep Singh was awarded the Player of the Match.
