UP: CM Yogi Aditynath hands over tractor keys to farmers, flags off convoy
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while boosting the morale of farmers on Kisan Samman Diwas (Farmers' Honour Day), said that when a farmer toils tirelessly, braving the heat and cold, and infuses his energy into Mother Earth, the land yields gold in the form of food grains.
The Chief Minister offered flowers at the statue of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Chaudhary Charan Singh at the Vidhan Bhavan premises on his birth anniversary. Yogi handed over the keys of tractors to the farmers on 'Kisan Samman Diwas'. He also honoured farmers, scientists, FPOs, etc.
The Chief Minister launched the plot allotment process of Chaudhary Charan Singh Seed Park, Atari, Lucknow, by pressing a button.
Yogi said that farmers in Uttar Pradesh have made progress through their hard work. When Narendra Modi took over the reins of the country in 2014, for the first time, farmers became a part of the government's agenda. The earth is our mother, and we are all her children; therefore, it is the duty of the child to contribute to rescuing the mother when she is sick or in trouble. For the first time, through the Soil Health Card, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made everyone aware of the health of Mother Earth in 2014.
Yogi said that farmers were connected with the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme), and then with Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (Prime Minister's Agricultural Irrigation Scheme), PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, the guarantee of MSP, and facilities for farmers from seed to market were increased.
Yogi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi honoured the farmers by conferring the 'Bharat Ratna' on Chaudhary Charan Singh, the messiah of farmers. The agricultural loan waiver program was implemented for small and marginal farmers. Earlier, farmers were not a part of any government scheme, but today, farmers are receiving the benefits of every government scheme. Today, middlemen do not determine the price of farmers' crops.
Yogi Adityanath said that farmers in the state are moving towards prosperity. By focusing on new technologies and high-quality seeds, farmers are achieving good production at lower costs, bringing glory to Uttar Pradesh.
