Z+ security to Shivraj Singh Chouhan: Is it an indication that he could be next BJP President?
Shivraj Singh Chouhan Next BJP President: Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has suddenly come into the spotlight of national politics and security agencies. Reports suggest that the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI is spying on him, following which the Home Ministry has tightened his security.
But the question is, why and how is Shivraj, who is always mild-mannered and avoids controversial statements, suddenly a target of enemies, or rather, the ISI? There is intense speculation in political circles that this increased security and threat intelligence is an indication that he will be made the national president of the BJP.
Following the Home Ministry's intelligence, security has been significantly increased outside his 74 Bungalow residence in Bhopal and his official residence in Delhi. The police have erected additional barricades.
Shivraj will have Z+ security, with approximately 55 personnel, including NSG commandos. However, the news of the ISI gathering information about him has surprised everyone. Shivraj's name hasn't been in the media recently due to any major controversy or statement, therefore the threat from ISI and Z+ security is unusual.
JP Nadda also has Z+ security
Since JP Nadda, who currently heads the BJP, also has Z+ security, it is being speculated whether Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be the next president of the BJP?
The BJP has been deliberating on the party president's post for quite some time. Along with the names of stalwarts like Bhupendra Yadav and Dharmendra Pradhan, Shivraj Singh Chouhan's name is also being prominently mentioned.
Political pundits believe that the ISI threat and the sudden strengthening of his Z+ security indicate that the party is going to entrust him with the leadership of the organization. When a leader's stature is about to rise or they are to be given a very important responsibility, a security review is often conducted. Therefore, it is being speculated that Shivraj Singh Chouhan could be the next president of the BJP.
