New varieties attract rose enthusiasts at Bhopal's Rose Exhibition; Rameshwar Sharma formally inaugurates
Bhopal: The 45th All India Rose Exhibition, held at Bhopal renowned rose garden, was formally inaugurated by MLA Rameshwar Sharma on Saturday. On this occasion, he observed various species of colorful and fragrant roses and praised the event. The exhibition will be open to the public from 10:00 AM on January 11th.
Sharma said that such exhibitions not only encourage horticulture but also promote environmental conservation and aesthetic appreciation. A large number of citizens, gardening enthusiasts, and students were present at the exhibition. The attractive varieties of indigenous and foreign roses were the center of attraction for the visitors.
Prizes were awarded to the winners of the 'Roses in the Garden' and 'Roses in Pots' competitions. Commissioner of Horticulture and Food Processing, Arvind Dubey, said that the rose enthusiasts of Bhopal get an opportunity to see indigenous and foreign varieties of roses at this exhibition. The state government is giving special encouragement to flower production. Under this initiative, it has been decided to promote flower production in each district according to its climate.
Sushil Prakash, President of the World Federation of Rose Societies, said that the Rose Society is continuously striving to give Bhopal city global recognition. The society is developing the BHEL garden, the gardens of the Vidhan Sabha complex, and the Minto Hall garden in Bhopal as rose gardens. A world-class rose exhibition is proposed to be held in Bhopal in January 2028.
Exhibition concludes today
Minister of Horticulture and Food Processing, Narayan Singh Kushwaha, will attend the closing ceremony of the rose exhibition at the rose garden complex on January 11 at 5 PM. He will distribute prizes to the winners in the cut flower category.
