One District-One Cuisine Scheme: How 75 unique dishes from 75 dists will become the identity and strength of UP? CM Yogi Adityanath tells
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while extending greetings to the people of the state on Uttar Pradesh Day, said that the 'One District-One Cuisine' scheme will become a new strength for Uttar Pradesh.
Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated Uttar Pradesh Day-2026 at the National Inspiration Site in the capital Lucknow on Saturday.
CM Yogi said that under the 'One District-One Cuisine' scheme, 75 unique dishes from 75 districts of the state will now become the identity and strength of Uttar Pradesh.
CM said that cleanliness-based dishes and dishes made from millets will be promoted and local products will be geo-tagged to give them global recognition. He said export opportunities will be provided according to the demand in India and abroad through their packaging, branding, and designing.
Yogi Adityanath said that this opportunity will now be available to every dish and every district of Uttar Pradesh.
CM said that this program is being organized not only at the National Inspiration Site but also in all 75 districts of the state and wherever people of Uttar Pradesh reside in India and abroad.
He said that when Uttar Pradesh Day was organized for the first time in 2018, the 'One District-One Product' scheme was promoted under the guidance of Governor Ram Naik and the then BJP National President Amit Shah.
CM said today this scheme has become the identity of self-reliant Uttar Pradesh and is contributing to the creation of a self-reliant India.
The Chief Minister said that personalities who make a unique contribution to the country are different from the ordinary. Five such distinguished individuals have been honored with the 'UP Gaurav Samman' (UP Pride Award), who have contributed to the Prime Minister's vision of 'Developed India' through innovation, research, and hard work. The Chief Minister congratulated all the honored personalities.
