Get ready to experience Ujjain's Tent City during Simhastha 2028, will be developed on lines of Gujarat’s Rann Utsav, tells CM Mohan Yadav
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the ‘Rann Utsav’ of the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat, initiated under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has today emerged as a global symbol of India’s cultural identity and tourism potential.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav participated in the grand ‘Rann Utsav’ and reviewed the arrangements of the world-class tent city. He said that what was once barren land has now, with the participation of farmers, evolved into a model of tourism, livelihood and development that the world is witnessing today. The vibrant performances of folk artists and the rich cultural heritage of Gujarat give the festival a distinctive identity, making it an inspiring example.
CM stated that during the Simhastha to be held in Ujjain in 2028, a tent city will be developed on the lines of the ‘Rann Utsav’. Plans are underway to develop tent cities at other high-footfall tourist destinations across Madhya Pradesh. These initiatives will generate local employment opportunities and also benefit farmers.
CM Mohan Yadav further said that Smriti Van in Bhuj, dedicated to preserving the memories of earthquake victims, stands as a powerful symbol of compassion and collective resolve. Inspired by this spirit, there is also a plan to develop a dedicated memorial museum in Bhopal in memory of the victims of the Union Carbide tragedy.
