MP: Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge in Bhopal on Feb 24; Kisan Mahachaupal will be held to protest trade deal with USA
The Congress party is planning to send a major political message in Bhopal on February 24th in protest of the India-US trade deal. The party is viewing the Kisan Mahachaupal, to be held at Jawahar Chowk, as a show of strength, where the national leadership will directly communicate with farmers.
Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, will be the keynote speakers at this Mahachaupal. Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Bhopal at 1 p.m., and the program will begin at 2 p.m.
Kharge will arrive at Bhopal Airport around 12 noon
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will arrive in Bhopal before Rahul Gandhi. According to information provided by the AICC to the MP Congress, Mallikarjun Kharge will arrive at Bhopal Airport around 12 noon. From there, he will stay at a private hotel for about an hour and a half. Both leaders will arrive on stage around 1:45 p.m.
Event is being held at Jawahar Chowk
After receiving permission from the administration, the event is being held at Jawahar Chowk, Atal Path. Two large domes have been constructed, and seating arrangements have been made for approximately 250 leaders on the stage. Congress claims that approximately 50,000 people will attend the Mahachaupal. Workers from across the state are being brought to Bhopal by buses.

Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Jairam Ramesh, Pawan Khera, along with Congress state in-charge Harish Chaudhary, PCC Chief Jitu Patwari, Leader of the Opposition Umang Singhar, Congress MLAs from MP, Rajya Sabha MPs, Political Affairs Committee members, and all 71 district presidents of the Congress will be seated on the stage at Jawahar Chowk.
