Sixteen contestants selected from across the state showcased their charisma on the ramp in the grand finale of Femina Miss India 2026 Madhya Pradesh. Dhanushree Chauhan from Seoni won the crown in the late-night event and will now represent Madhya Pradesh on the national stage.
Glamour on the Ramp
The event was held in two main rounds: ramp walk, talent, and question-answer rounds, where contestants showcased their personality, confidence, and communication skills. Finally, the jury panel selected the winner based on the contestants' grace, stage presence, and intelligence. As the models strutted onto the stage to the music, the entire hall erupted in applause.
Sanya Dixit, Shivangi, Radhika, Purva, Akanksha, Bhumika, Krishika, Kanak, Devanshi, Dhanushree, Nandini, Mahima, Rushika, Siya, Sneha, and Samaira Jaiswal participated in the competition. Each one brought the stage to life with their style and confidence.
Femina Miss India 2024 and Miss World 2026 contestant Nikita Porwal, who attended the event, said, "Femina Miss India has a legacy spanning over 60 years. This platform has given the country world-class celebrities like Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Priyanka Chopra." She added that the State Grand Finale, held for the first time in Bhopal, is being seen as a new chapter in this glorious tradition.
Family's support a major strength for me: Dhanushree
Dhanushree Chauhan shared that she hails from Seoni, a small district in Madhya Pradesh. Her family's support has been a major strength for her. She said, "When I was 13 years old, I first told my family that I wanted to participate in this competition. My parents supported me completely from that day forward.”
During the finale, her parents sat in front and videotaped the entire event. Dhanushree is currently a law student and was preparing for this competition while studying.
Inspiration from Manushi Chhillar
Dhanushree said that she was inspired to reach this stage by Manushi Chhillar. “When Manushi became Miss World, I was in eighth grade. Seeing her, I realized how powerful this platform is. I decided at that very moment that I would definitely participate in this competition one day.”
Now her next goal is to win the title at the national level. She says that to achieve this, she will seriously work on many aspects such as technical requirements, professional grooming, and personality development.
'Environment is a challenge for the entire world today'
This year's event was based on the theme “Sustainability-First, Zero-Waste Event.” From the stage decoration to other arrangements, the message of responsibility towards the environment was conveyed.
Dhanushree also shared her views, saying that Madhya Pradesh is known for its forests and biodiversity. “The environment is a challenge for the entire world today. No one is untouched by it. We must also fulfill our responsibilities on an individual level.”
Finale in Bhopal for the first time
Femina City Director Apeksha Srivastava said this is a historic occasion as the Femina brand, with its 60-year legacy, has come to Bhopal for the first time.
She explained that the state-level crown is now awarded to the winner. Previously, state-level winners received the crown only after participating in the national competition. This change is providing a major platform for the state's talents closer to home.
