Rangbhari Ekadashi 2026: The Ekadashi of the Shukla Paksha of the Phalguna month is called Rangbhari Ekadashi. It is also known as Amalaki Ekadashi. It is believed that on this day, Lord Shiva brought Goddess Parvati to Kashi for the first time after her Gauna ceremony. For this reason, this Ekadashi holds special significance in Kashi. When is Rangbhari Ekadashi 2026?
According to the calendar, the Ekadashi date of the Shukla Paksha of the Phalguna month will begin at 12:33 am (shortly after midnight) on February 27, 2026, and will last until 10:32 pm on the same day. Based on the Udayatithi, the Rangbhari Ekadashi fast will be observed on Friday, February 27, 2026. On this day, devotees will observe a fast and worship Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, and Goddess Parvati.

Certain times are considered extremely auspicious for worship on Rangbhari Ekadashi. Performing puja during these times is believed to increase the benefits.

When should one break the Rangbhari Ekadashi 2026 fast?
The time for breaking the fast of Rangbhari Ekadashi, i.e., Parana, is from 6:47 am to 9:06 am on February 28, 2026.
According to the scriptures, it is auspicious to break the fast on the Dwadashi Tithi. Before breaking the fast, it is considered auspicious to worship God and perform charity.
The Significance of Rangbhari Ekadashi: This Ekadashi is also known as Amalaki Ekadashi. It is believed that worshipping the Amla tree on this day also brings special blessings. According to religious beliefs, fasting and worshipping with a true heart on Rangbhari Ekadashi frees one from past sins. The ongoing problems in life gradually diminish, and a positive atmosphere is created in the home.
Rangbhari Ekadashi Puja Method
On Rangbhari Ekadashi, get up early in the morning, take a bath, and wear clean clothes. Afterward, clean the temple or place of worship in your home. Begin the puja by meditating on Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, and Goddess Parvati.
First, offer yellow flowers, basil leaves, and incense sticks and lamps to Lord Vishnu. Then, offer Bel leaves, water, and flowers to Lord Shiva. Offering wedding items or flowers to Goddess Parvati is considered auspicious. Chant the mantras "Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya" and "Om Namah Shivaya" during the puja.
If possible, recite the Vishnu Sahasranama or Shiva Chalisa. After this, worship the Amla tree or meditate on it by offering water to the Amla tree at home. Finally, perform aarti and pray to God for peace, happiness, and family well-being. Those observing the fast should eat fruits throughout the day and perform puja by lighting a lamp in the evening. The next day, on Dwadashi, break the fast after the puja and donate to the needy.
