Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav shared a video of the female cheetah and the cubs on his X account, and congratulated the officials of Kuno National Park.

CM himself shared this good news on the social media platform X. He also posted a cute video of the cubs playing with their mother.

CM Mohan Yadav wrote: "Good news from Kuno National Park again...

Cheetah Jwala has given birth to five cubs, marking another major milestone for Project Cheetah. With this, India's cheetah population has crossed the half-century mark, reaching 53.

A proud moment for wildlife conservation and a strong testament to the success of India's cheetah reintroduction efforts."

Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav also congratulated on this achievement. With this birth, the total number of cheetahs in India has increased to 53. Of these, 33 were born in India, marking Project Cheetah's 10th successful birth to date.

13 cubs born in 2 months

Female cheetah Jwala and her recently born five cubs are healthy. The Kuno management team and doctors are continuously monitoring them. Earlier in February, female cheetah Asha gave birth to five cubs and Gamini to three cubs in Kuno. This has led to the growth of a new generation of Indian cheetahs. Including Asha, Gamini, and now Jwala's cubs, 13 cubs have been born.

The number of cheetahs in India has now reached 53. Of these, 50 are young and adult cheetahs in Kuno National Park in Sheopur. Meanwhile, three cheetahs are pacing freely in Gandhi Sagar in Mandsaur.
