What did Amit Shah say about Nitish Kumar's Rajya Sabha nomination?
Home Minister Amit Shah said on Thursday that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will once again enter national politics after a very long time.
He said, "Today, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha. With this, Nitish Kumar will once again enter national politics as a Rajya Sabha MP after a very long time."
"Nitish Kumar has been the Chief Minister of Bihar from 2005 to today. His tenure will be written as a golden page in Bihar's history."
Amit Shah said, "In such a long career, serving as an MLA, MP, Chief Minister, and Union Minister, his (Nitish Kumar's) kurta has never been stained. Hardly anyone has traveled such a long political journey without being accused of corruption as Nitish Kumar has."
"He is coming to Delhi as a Rajya Sabha MP. I and all our NDA colleagues heartily welcome him."
In addition to Nitish Kumar, BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Ramnath Thakur, Upendra Kushwaha, and Shivesh Ram also filed their nominations for the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.
