Jaipur: The final voter lists for 195 out of Rajasthan's 309 local bodies have been published, recording a decline of over 3 lakh 22,000 voters—representing a decrease of approximately 2.90 percent.

State Election Commissioner Rajeshwar Singh stated that, in preparation for the 2026 municipal body elections, the final voter lists for 195 of the state's 309 local bodies were published on Wednesday. The schedule for the voter lists of the remaining 113 local bodies is proceeding separately.

Singh noted that the draft list, published on February 20, originally included a total of 1 crore 13 lakh 29,913 voters. Following the publication of the draft list, 2 lakh 27,879 new voters were added, while the names of 5 lakh 49,916 voters were removed. Consequently, the final published list for these 195 local bodies records a total of 1 crore 10 lakh 7,876 voters.

He further informed that this final voter list, published for the 195 municipal bodies across the state, comprises 5 crore 65 lakh 7921 male voters, 5 crore 34 lakh 9578 female voters, and 377 transgender voters. Compared to the draft list, the final list shows a recorded decrease of 3 lakh 22,037 voters.

At the district level, a decline of 16.9 percent was recorded in Jodhpur and 11.50 percent in Udaipur, whereas an increase of 2.50 percent was observed in Barmer and 2.40 percent in Nagaur.

Across the state's 39 districts, 6,485 wards and 12,198 polling stations have been established for the municipal bodies.
