The Israeli military launched an attack on Lebanon involving hundreds of missiles, resulting in the death of 254 people. According to Lebanon's Civil Defense Agency, at least 1,165 people were injured in this airstrike. Following the incident, a period of national mourning has been declared across the country.

Israel carried out overnight strikes on several Hezbollah positions in Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have claimed to have killed the personal secretary of the Hezbollah chief.

The IDF stated that it killed Ali Yusuf Harshi—the personal secretary to the Hezbollah chief, who was also his nephew.

The IDF further stated that it targeted two bridges spanning the Litani River. In recent weeks, this river has been repeatedly targeted, effectively isolating southern Lebanon.

The attacks were carried out in Beirut, the Beqaa Valley, Mount Lebanon, Sidon, and several villages in southern Lebanon. This assault occurred on the very day a two-week ceasefire was announced between the United States, Israel, and Iran.

The Israeli military stated that this attack marked their largest strike against Lebanon to date, following a new military operation launched on March 2. According to the military, the operation targeted more than 100 Hezbollah command centers and military bases.

Lebanon not part of US-Iran ceasefire agreement: Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted that Lebanon is not part of the US-Iran ceasefire agreement. Conversely, Pakistan—acting as a mediator—maintains that Lebanon is indeed included in this ceasefire. On the other hand, US President Trump stated that Lebanon is distinct from this agreement and is not a party to it.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that the United States must decide whether it intends to implement the ceasefire or continue the war through Israel, as the two courses of action cannot coexist.

Pakistan condemns Israel

Pakistan has condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon. It has termed these attacks a clear violation of international law.

In a statement, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "Pakistan strongly condemns the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon. These attacks have resulted in the loss of innocent lives and the widespread destruction of infrastructure."

Pakistan stated, "These actions by Israel undermine efforts to maintain international peace and stability. They constitute a clear violation of international law and fundamental humanitarian principles."

Appealing to the international community, Pakistan urged it to take immediate and concrete measures to halt Israel's actions against Lebanon.

Expressing its support for Lebanon, Pakistan said, "Pakistan once again reiterates its full solidarity with the government and people of Lebanon during this difficult time. Furthermore, it supports Lebanon's sovereignty, territorial integrity, peace, and stability."

European Nations Slam Israeli Attacks

Israel's attacks in Lebanon have sparked a sharp reaction across Europe. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot stated that attacks on Lebanon are unacceptable. He added that these actions are undermining the temporary ceasefire established between the U.S. and Iran.

British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper has already condemned Israel's attacks as entirely wrong and has called for Lebanon to be included in the ceasefire agreement.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni remarked that the situation has neared a "point of no return," yet emphasized that it is now imperative to resolutely pursue the prospects for peace that currently exist.
