‘Samrat Vikramaditya Mahanatya’ staged on the Soil of Kashi; CM Mohan Yadav Connects Sacred Lands of Baba Vishwanath and Mahakal, Says UP CM Adityanath Yogi

MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the life and legacy of Samrat Vikramaditya, the icon of exemplary governance, continue to inspire society. Speaking at the staging of the three-day grand theatrical presentation ‘Samrat Vikramaditya’ in Varanasi (Kashi) on Friday, CM Dr. Yadav said that it is particularly significant to host this performance in Kashi, the karmabhoomi of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ceremony was inaugurated jointly by CM Mohan Yadav and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

CM Dr. Yadav said that the grand theatrical presentation serves as a medium to introduce the younger generation to the ideals of Samrat Vikramaditya, including his patriotism, bravery, sense of justice, affection for his subjects, and the revival of knowledge and scientific traditions. The play has also been staged earlier in New Delhi. 

CM stated that talented individuals from various professions, such as engineers, doctors, lawyers and others, perform different roles in the play. While providing a platform for talent, the play also familiarizes citizens with the contributions of a great and capable ruler. In this way, the theatrical presentation not only entertains audiences but also brings India’s glorious history to life.

Dr. Yadav further said that three pairs of brothers are particularly renowned in Indian tradition: Lord Shri Rama and Lakshmana, Lord Shri Krishna and Balarama and Samrat Vikramaditya and Raja Bhartrihari.

Grand Staging of Vikramaditya Play a Memorable Moment: UP CM Yogi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the staging of the ‘Samrat Vikramaditya’ grand play as a memorable moment. He said that in the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has performed a unique task by connecting the sacred land of Baba Vishwanath with the land of Baba Mahakal through this theatrical presentation.

Yogi said that Ujjain, the city of Mahakal, and Kashi, the city of the Panchang, together will carry forward the tradition of cooperation and create new milestones. 



Vedic Clock Presented

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presented a Vedic Clock to UP Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath. The clock symbolises the revival of Vedic timekeeping traditions among the public and reflects a unique blend of ancient Vedic knowledge and modern scientific understanding for accurate time calculation.
