The entire multi-storey building collapsed, flattening into a massive mound of rubble, according to officials at the site.
According to police sources, the building had a coaching institute on the ground floor and construction work was underway on upper floors. It is suspected that those trapped maybe students.
According to the Fire Department, they received information regarding the incident at 7:45 PM. An official from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) stated, "We have dispatched four fire tenders to the site and are awaiting further details."

The rescue operation involves the local administration, the Delhi Police, and the Fire Department, alongside emergency medical teams. Rescuers are searching for individuals trapped within the debris. Five People Rescued
A Fire Department official stated, "We have dispatched four fire tenders to the site and are awaiting further information." So far, 4 to 5 people have been safely pulled out from the rubble. These injured individuals have been transported to a hospital for first aid and treatment, where they are currently undergoing medical care.

Meanwhile, relief and rescue teams are conducting continuous search operations within the debris, as there are apprehensions that some people may still be trapped under the rubble. Due to the presence of a crowd, the administration has cordoned off the entire area, and all agencies are working in coordination to expedite the relief efforts.
The Delhi Police team present at the scene stated that their priority is to safely extract the trapped individuals. The injured have been transported to a nearby hospital. Several senior police officials are present at the site of the incident. The police reported that a dilapidated building collapsed onto an adjacent residential structure, raising fears that several people may be buried under the debris.
