Bhopal’s Anjana Yadav Unfurls Tricolor on Everest; Hoists Operation Sindoor Banner on Lobuche Peak
Bhopal's Anjana Yadav, who set out with the goal of conquering Mount Everest while carrying a message of patriotism, health awareness, and environmental conservation, has achieved success. On May 27, 2026, at 5:24 AM, international mountaineer Anjana Yadav successfully reached the summit of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest (8,848.86 meters), thereby bringing glory not only to Madhya Pradesh but to the entire nation.
This achievement, accomplished by the daughter of a humble rural family, stands as an inspiring testament to courage, dedication, discipline, and unwavering self-confidence. During her Everest expedition—specifically on the first anniversary of 'Operation Sindoor'—Anjana Yadav paid tribute to the indomitable courage and sacrifice of the Indian Army by hoisting the 'Operation Sindoor' banner atop the 6,119-meter-high Lobuche Peak. Lobuche is a classic 6,119m (20,075 ft) mountain in Nepal’s Khumbu region
Subsequently, by hoisting the 'Operation Sindoor' banner on the world's highest peak, Mount Everest itself, she conveyed a message of patriotism and respect for the armed forces to the entire world.
Giving New Heights to the 'Fit India' Campaign
Through her expedition, Anjana Yadav also gave new heights to the Prime Minister's "Fit India" campaign. She urged people to adopt a healthy lifestyle and make regular exercise an integral part of their lives.
Additionally, while promoting the cause of environmental conservation through the "A Tree for Mother" campaign, she appealed to every citizen to plant at least one sapling in honor of their mother. Anjana attributed her success to the encouragement, guidance, and support provided by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, and expressed her special gratitude to him.
Furthermore, she made special mention of her mentor and senior social worker, Hariom Jatiya, stating that his guidance, inspiration, and continuous support instilled in her the confidence to achieve her goal.
Anjana to Return to India on June 1
Following her conquest of Mount Everest, Anjana Yadav is returning to India on June 1, 2026. Her achievement has become a source of inspiration, particularly for young women in rural regions. Hailing originally from Semri village in the Raisen district, this daughter of the land has proven that dreams know no bounds and that, with the power of unwavering determination, even the world's highest peaks can be conquered.
