Chhattisgarh's sports talents will gain an excellent platform to showcase their potential; state-of-the-art cricket academy and sports ground to be built in Rajnandgaon
Raipur: A state-of-the-art cricket academy and sports ground will be constructed in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh.
Led by Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, office bearers of the Rajnandgaon District Cricket Association paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday at his office chamber located within the Assembly premises.
On this occasion, the delegation expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the Cabinet's significant decision to allocate five acres of land—registered under the name of the Suryamukhi Devi Rajgami Sampada—at a concessional rate for the construction of a modern sports ground and a state-of-the-art cricket academy. They stated that this initiative would provide better training facilities to the district's sporting talents and open up new avenues of opportunity in the field of cricket.
Dr. Singh thanked the Chief Minister for taking a prompt decision during the Cabinet meeting regarding this long-pending demand of the region. He said that this decision would enable the construction of a state-of-the-art stadium in Rajnandgaon, thereby providing high-level opportunities to the players of the state. Furthermore, given that this is a tribal-dominated region, local talents will gain an excellent platform to showcase their potential at the national level.
Present during the occasion were MLA Dharam Lal Kaushik, MLA Purandar Mishra, MLA Lalit Chandrakar, General Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association Vikram Sisodia, Secretary of the Rajnandgaon District Cricket Association Yogesh Bagdi, along with other office bearers and members.
