Although the Rajasthan Royals have been eliminated from IPL 2026, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has garnered immense praise for his spectacular performance. Late on Friday night, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan lauded cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi in a post on X.
In his post on X, Big-B wrote, "Suryavanshi—an amazing 'Surya' at the age of 15. At that age, we couldn't even play marbles or *gilli-danda* properly."
Meanwhile, former cricketer Yuvraj Singh wrote in a post on X, "Vaibhav is playing with such power and maturity at such a young age. This is a fantastic sign for the future of Indian cricket."
Former Team India cricketer Mohammad Kaif has stated that Vaibhav Suryavanshi should be given an opportunity in T20s and ODIs, even if it means dropping someone else from the squad.
Writing on the social media platform X, Mohammad Kaif said, "Vaibhav Suryavanshi should be given a chance in T20s and ODIs immediately. It doesn't matter who has to be dropped to make way for him."
He added, "Trust in his (Vaibhav's) talent; give him an opportunity, and give him a long run as well. What he can do, no one else can. This is not a risk; it is a prudent move."
Notably, in the match played between the Rajasthan Royals and the Gujarat Titans on Friday, Vaibhav scored 97 runs off just 47 balls. His innings included 7 sixes. Throughout this innings, Vaibhav maintained a strike rate of over 200.
