Satwik-Chirag Script History, Win Singapore Open Title for the First Time
Singapore Open-2026: India's Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have won the Singapore Open-2026 title for the first time.
In the men's doubles final held in Singapore on Sunday, the duo staged a magnificent comeback after trailing by a game to clinch the match.
They secured a victory with a scoreline of 18-21, 21-17, 21-16 in a thrilling contest that lasted one hour and 13 minutes.
With this win, they became the first Indians to win a doubles title at the Singapore Open.
Satwik and Chirag have also previously held the world number one ranking. They are currently ranked fourth. The duo are also former champions of both the Asian Games and the Commonwealth Games.
On Sunday, the pair won their first title in two years.
This marks the ninth World Tour title and the third Super 750 title of both players' careers.
Their stellar performance in the tournament included a major victory in the semi-finals against the reigning world champions from South Korea, Kim Won-ho and Seo Seung-jae. Ending the Title Drought: This victory marks their 10th BWF World Tour title, bringing an end to a two-year-long title drought.
