UP's First Logistics Hub to be Established in Saharanpur, CM Yogi Told How Saharanpur Will Develop as a new hub for Industrial Development?
Saharanpur: Addressing a public meeting held in Deoband on Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that an economic corridor and the state's first industrial logistics hub would be developed in Saharanpur to boost economic activities in the region; work on this initiative has already commenced.
The Chief Minister stated that this project would generate employment opportunities for thousands of youths and position Saharanpur as a new hub for industrial development. He added that the world-class wood carvings crafted by Saharanpur's artisans have earned the district a distinct identity.
Yogi remarked that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh is making rapid strides in the development of modern infrastructure. He noted that ambitious projects—such as the country's largest Noida International Airport, the nation's first Rapid Rail connecting Delhi and Meerut, and a six-lane expressway spanning approximately 600 kilometers from Meerut to Prayagraj—are imparting fresh momentum to the state's development.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 184 development projects worth approximately Rs 500 crore across all seven assembly constituencies of the district.
On this occasion, certificates and assistance were distributed to beneficiaries of various schemes, including the Chief Minister's Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign, the 'One District One Product' (ODOP) scheme, the Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Scheme (under the Nand Baba Milk Mission), the National Rural Livelihood Mission, the Chief Minister's Housing Scheme (Rural), the Girls' Marriage Assistance Scheme, the Maternal, Child, and Girl Child Assistance Scheme, Food Processing initiatives, and the Ayushman Bharat Card Scheme.
The Chief Minister stated that in Saharanpur, various projects are being undertaken. He further mentioned that approximately 500 youths from Saharanpur have secured employment in the recently concluded police recruitment drive. He affirmed that the state government accords top priority to development, security, employment generation, industrial investment, the dignity of artisans, the prosperity of farmers, and the safety of women.
Yogi assured the residents of Saharanpur that development works would continue to be accelerated in accordance with the district's specific requirements, and that every possible effort would be made to ensure a bright future for the youth.
