West Bengal Assembly Election Results 2026: Counting of votes is underway for 293 seats in Bengal. Re-polling will be held on May 21st if one seat falls short. Initial trends indicate a majority for the BJP. The BJP is leading in 160 seats and the TMC in 117.
Mamata Banerjee is leading in the Bhawanipur seat. Suvendu Adhikari is trailing. Ratna Debnath, mother of the RG Kar Hospital rape victim, is leading in the Panihati seat.
In the area where Modi had Jhalmuri, the BJP is leading in all four seats. These seats are Jhargram, Binpur, Gopiballabhpur, and Nayagram.
