Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has launched a special initiative aimed at encouraging the state's talented students. Students who have secured a place in the merit lists of the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations will be granted free admission to the IPL match scheduled to be played on May 10 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.

On this day, the match will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians.

The School Education Department has issued necessary directives in this regard to all Divisional Joint Directors and District Education Officers. As per the instructions, it is mandatory for the selected students—accompanied by a teacher—to report to the SCERT, Raipur, by 10:00 AM on May 10, from where they will be transported to the stadium collectively.

Immense enthusiasm witnessed among cricket fans

Meanwhile, immense enthusiasm was witnessed among cricket fans as soon as online ticket sales for the May 10 match commenced. The lowest-priced tickets, costing Rs 2,500, sold out completely within just a few minutes. Currently, tickets in the price range of Rs 3,300 to Rs 8,000 remain available. All ticket sales are being conducted exclusively through online channels.

Another thrilling encounter is scheduled to take place in Raipur on May 13, in which Royal Challengers Bangalore will face off against Kolkata Knight Riders. Ticket sales for this match are set to begin on May 4.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore team is scheduled to arrive in Raipur on May 8 and will stay in the city for approximately six days. During this period, the team will also conduct practice sessions. Mumbai Indians are also expected to arrive in Raipur during the same timeframe.

Keeping the convenience and safety of spectators in mind, the organizers have implemented a digital 'M-ticket' system this time around. Entry into the stadium will be facilitated through a QR code-based system, which will become active prior to the scheduled time on the day of the match. This measure has been adopted with the objective of curbing fraudulent entries and black marketing.

Strict regulations have also been established regarding the transfer of tickets. Each ticket may be transferred to another person only once, for which entering the recipient's mobile number is mandatory.

The stadium gates will open at 3:30 PM on the day of the match. Spectators must enter through the specific gate mentioned on their ticket; re-entry will not be permitted. A separate ticket is required for children above the age of two years. A maximum of four tickets can be booked using a single mobile number.

Security agencies have appealed to spectators to carry only the bare essentials and to cooperate with the security check procedures.
