As the nation prepares to celebrate the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026 on June 21, the Ministry of Ayush has invited citizens from across the country to participate in large numbers and become part of this historic celebration of health, harmony and India’s timeless yoga tradition.
This year, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), under the Ministry of Culture, is organising IDY 2026 celebrations at 100 iconic locations across India, highlighting the unique connection between India’s rich civilisational heritage, historic monuments and the ancient tradition of yoga.
The iconic locations where IDY 2026 will be celebrated include Khajuraho, Ayodhya, Qutub Minar, Red Fort, Nalanda, among others. See the complete list of locations where IDY 2026 will be celebrated:
