INDIA alliance sounds fresh clarion call, emphasizing opposition unity during meeting of 25 parties; strategic meetings will be held every two months
A crucial meeting of the INDIA alliance was held on Sunday at the Constitution Club in New Delhi, attended by key leaders from around 25 opposition parties across the country. Held after a long hiatus, the meeting involved detailed discussions on future political strategy, parliamentary issues, and opposition unity. Through this meeting, the opposition signaled its intent to raise a united voice against the central government.

Leaders from the Congress and various allied parties participated in this significant meeting, which took place after nearly a year. The primary objective was to strengthen coordination among opposition parties and formulate a joint strategy on national issues. The leaders acknowledged the need to further consolidate opposition unity given the current political climate.
Kharge says: New calendar for regular meetings to be created
Addressing the media after the meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge stated that the INDIA alliance would now play a more active role. He announced that all parties in the alliance would meet every two months and jointly raise issues concerning the public. Additionally, a special meeting will be held prior to the Parliament's monsoon session in August.
Govt cornered over education system and NEET exam
Issues related to education were also discussed during the meeting. Opposition parties demanded answers from the central government regarding the controversies surrounding the NEET examination. Opposition leaders reiterated their demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and emphasized the need to ensure transparency in the examination system.
Prominent opposition leaders were seen sharing a common platform
Several senior leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav, Mallikarjun Kharge, Omar Abdullah, Tejashwi Yadav, Supriya Sule, Mehbooba Mufti, and Dipankar Bhattacharya, attended the meeting. According to sources, a strategy regarding writing a letter to the Supreme Court on issues related to the examination system was also discussed. The meeting clearly signaled that the opposition is preparing to take the field jointly for upcoming political battles.
