Wrestler and Congress MLA Vinesh Phogat addressed issues regarding inflation, rising gas prices, and alleged discontent among Congress workers in her constituency, Julana, on Sunday.

Phogat had recently participated in the wrestling selection trials for the Asian Games in New Delhi, where she faced defeat.

Speaking in Julana, she said, "If politics threatens to ruin our sport, then we must pay attention to the political arena as well, so that I can do something for the youth at my level."

Regarding the hike in domestic gas cylinder prices, she remarked, "Gas prices have been raised for the third time, and they are likely to rise further. Rahul Gandhi is highlighting this issue before the entire nation. It is evident to everyone. Inflation has only just begun; it will escalate in the future. Even I sometimes face difficulty in purchasing a gas cylinder."

Genuine voters should not be excluded

Commenting on the SIR (Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls), she said, "The SIR process is underway in Haryana; fake voters must not be included, and genuine voters should not be excluded from the electoral rolls."

There is no discontent among Congress workers

Addressing reports of discontent among Congress workers in her constituency, she stated, "There is no such discontent. We are a family; if there is any grievance within our family, we will resolve it amongst ourselves. I am taking everyone along and can confirm that the morale of the Congress party is high."

She added that the party's stance is clear: the goal is to connect people with the party, not with any single individual.
