This event will serve as a significant opportunity to showcase Kashi's traditional weaving and zari artistry to international buyers.

She noted that Bharat Tex-2026 is considered the country's largest global textile event. The four-day program will feature over 1,600 exhibitors, more than 7,000 buyers, approximately 1,30,000 business visitors, and over 20,000 textile products. The event will be hosted across an area of approximately 1.6 million square feet.

Representatives from the textile industries of 14 countries—including the USA, UK, Japan, Spain, Portugal, South Korea, South Africa, and Nepal—will participate in the event. Additionally, investor outreach sessions involving various states will be held, where Uttar Pradesh will showcase the potential of its textile industry.

Rajesh Kumar Jaiswal, Director of Remans Apparel, stated that the Banarasi saree is not merely a garment but a symbol of Kashi's cultural heritage and the hard work of generations of weavers. Through Bharat Tex-2026, it will gain access to new global markets, thereby strengthening the "Local to Global" campaign.

Ahmed Kaiser, Director of the 'Banarzi' brand, remarked that the Yogi Adityanath government is focusing not only on providing financial and technical support to the textile industry but also on global branding. Establishing direct contact with foreign buyers on this platform will increase the likelihood of securing new export orders, thereby boosting the Banarasi textile industry, readymade garment manufacturing, and local employment.
