Ujjain: Under the guidance of Collector Roshan Kumar Singh, the campaign to promote natural farming is gaining momentum in MP's Ujjain. As part of this drive, officials visited Ghinoda village in Khachrod block, where a newly constructed cowshed belonging to progressive farmer Girdharilal Patidar was inaugurated, and a tree plantation program was held.

ATMA Project Director K.S. Ken, Assistant Director of Agriculture Kamlesh Kumar Rathore, Senior Agriculture Development Officer Sandeep Karodiya, and other officials inspected Patidar’s farm and commended him for successfully adopting cow-based natural farming.

The farmer is cultivating groundnut, maize, and Safed Musli (white musli) using the 'raised-bed' method and is preparing natural inputs—such as Jeevamrut, Ghan-Jeevamrut, and Panch-Patti Ark—right on the farm.

Officials encouraged farmers to start natural farming on a small scale and gradually expand it. They highlighted benefits such as reduced cultivation costs, improved soil fertility, enhanced biodiversity, and the production of safe, chemical-free food. Inspired by this initiative, many farmers pledged to adopt natural farming.
