MP: Alirajpur Collector meets elderly woman: Learns about uses of Mahua seeds from her
Alirajpur: Wishing for good rainfall and the prosperity of farmers, Alirajpur Collector Neetu Mathur visited the Mahadev Temple in Sorwa to offer prayers for timely and abundant rain in the district. She prayed for an early end to the delay in rainfall so that farmers could sow their crops on time and agricultural activities could proceed smoothly.
During her visit to Sorwa, Collector Mathur demonstrated a compassionate approach by stopping her vehicle along the way to meet an elderly woman. The woman was extracting seeds from Mahua fruits at the time. Mathur inquired about the extraction process and the uses of Mahua seeds. The elderly woman explained that oil is extracted from these seeds, which is used for cooking and other purposes.
The Collector also personally extracted seeds from the Mahua fruits to gain a firsthand understanding of this traditional activity. She engaged in a warm conversation with the woman and appreciated her work.
During the visit, the Collector also interacted with the children present there. She encouraged them to attend school regularly and study diligently, motivating them to build a bright future through education.
