MP: CM Mohan Yadav Tries His Hand at Making Jalebi, Enjoys Evening Tea with Citizens in Ujjain
Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav arrived in Ujjain on Friday evening and toured the city on a two-wheeler and on foot to review the progress of infrastructure works underway for Simhastha-2028.
Beginning his visit from the VIP Guest House on Dewas Road, the Chief Minister travelled through Madhav Nagar and Tower Chowk to Freeganj. He inspected the construction of the new bridge being built parallel to the Freeganj Bridge and reviewed the latest progress with officials of the Bridge Construction Department.
The Chief Minister inspected the road widening work from Koyla Phatak to Kanthal Square and interacted with local residents and shopkeepers, enquiring about their well-being and discussing the progress of the ongoing works. He also visited Nijatpura to review the progress of construction activities there.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav walked from Koyla Phatak to Nijatpura, where he met local residents and acknowledged their greetings. Citizens warmly welcomed the Chief Minister and interacted with him in an informal and cordial atmosphere.
CM enquired about the well-being of the shop owner. As the owner was preparing jalebis at the time, he invited Dr. Yadav to make some. Accepting the invitation with warmth and simplicity, the Chief Minister tried his hand at making jalebis and later enjoyed a cup of evening tea with the locals.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that several infrastructure projects being undertaken for Simhastha-2028 have either been completed or are nearing completion. He noted that the public is satisfied with the pace of development works and that many long-pending infrastructure requirements are now being fulfilled. He added that the pace of construction would be accelerated further in the coming months.
CM Mohan Yadav also held discussions with administrative officials and public representatives regarding arrangements for the traditional processions of Lord Shri Mahakaleshwar during the holy months of Shravan and Bhadrapada.
MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluheda, Shri Sanjay Agrawal, Shri Ravi Solanki, Collector Shri Roshan Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police Shri Pradeep Sharma, senior administrative officials and public representatives were present during the visit.
