Tiger Yuvraj was born in Kheoni Sanctuary in MP's Dewas district approximately a decade ago. Two years after his birth, he became a frequent sight for tourists in the sanctuary's tourism zone. Upon reaching adulthood, he associated with the tigresses Radha and Meera, playing a significant role in expanding the tiger population within the sanctuary.

Yuvraj sustained severe injuries

Towards the end of the third week of June, a confrontation occurred when a younger tiger encroached upon his territory. Yuvraj sustained severe injuries during the fight, leaving him unable to move. Observing his critical condition, the Forest Department decided to capture him.

On June 27, amidst challenging circumstances, the rescue team from Van Vihar National Park, Bhopal, successfully rescued Yuvraj and brought him to the park.

Detailed assessment revealed deep wounds

Six days later, he was sedated for a comprehensive health examination and X-rays. The detailed assessment revealed deep wounds on both his front legs and his left hind leg, while X-rays confirmed fractures in both front paws. Six stitches were required to treat the deep wound on his left hind leg.

Yuvraj is currently undergoing continuous treatment while his movements are closely monitored. After approximately one month, significant qualitative improvement in his condition is evident.
