MP: Online applications invited by this date under Mukhyamantri Divyangjan Shiksha Protsahan Yojana 2026-27; eligible students to receive laptops and motorized tricycles
Bhopal: The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in Madhya Pradesh has invited online applications for the Chief Minister's Education Incentive Scheme for Divyangjan (Mukhyamantri Divyangjan Shiksha Protsahan Yojana) for the financial year 2026-27, with a deadline of August 31.
Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, stated that this scheme will make the path to higher education easier and more accessible for students with disabilities. He has directed eligible students to apply within the stipulated timeframe and instructed district officials to ensure the scheme's effective implementation.
Krishna Gopal Tiwari, Commissioner for Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, informed that the scheme is being operated entirely through an online system, making the process more transparent, simple, and time-bound. He has instructed all Joint Directors and Deputy Directors to ensure that eligible students receive the scheme's benefits while adhering to the prescribed deadlines.
The department has appealed to students and their parents to apply online before the deadline of August 31, 2026, to avail the benefits of this scheme. Students are urged to submit their applications via the online portal. The objective of the scheme is to encourage students with disabilities to pursue higher education and to make them self-reliant by providing access to modern resources.
As per the guidelines, eligible students can apply directly through the online portal. Applications received at district offices will be scrutinized and approved based on eligibility criteria. The process of scrutiny and approval will be completed by September 15, 2026. Subsequently, the procurement of laptops or motorized tricycles for the approved students will be carried out in accordance with the rules by October 15, 2026.
Under the scheme, laptops and motorized tricycles will be distributed to selected students during district-level events held on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3, 2026), in the presence of public representatives. The department has also instructed all districts to upload details and photographs of the distribution to the portal by December 5, 2026.
