MP: Global Skills Park Bhopal to Train 10,000 Youth Annually in Future; What More CM Mohan Yadav Told?
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that, keeping in view the requirements of the industrial sector, Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skills Park in Bhopal will train 10,000 youth every year in the coming years. At present, the institute certifies around 2,000 youth annually through various skill-based courses. This number is expected to reach 3,000 in 2026 and will continue to increase. Dr. Yadav was addressing the ‘Arambh’, orientation programme of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skills Park.
PM Modi Continues to Expand Opportunities for Youth Across the Country
Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there is no dearth of opportunities for youth in India. Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skills Park has an important role in the development journey of the State and the country.
CM Mohan Yadav said that today youth can build better lives through their skills. Students from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and several other States are coming to the institute for skill training.
CM Mohan Yadav said that the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas Ji Maharaj is being observed. He is remembered for his devotion to his work, social reform and selfless way of life, among several other reasons.
98.9 per cent placement rate at Global Skills Park
CM said that the 98.9 per cent placement rate at Global Skills Park is a major achievement. The institute is conducting world-class, multilingual training programmes. He said Indian culture holds many secrets of life that are connected with science. Technology is changing rapidly, and youth are empowering themselves by acquiring new skills.
CM said young people should prove their talent in every field through their capabilities and intelligence. He said, “No work is big or small. It is our work and the determination to perform it that ultimately takes us to our destination.”
CM Delighted to Hear About Achievements of Young Women
At the ‘Arambh’ programme, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav appreciated the craftsmanship of artisans Madan Prajapati (pottery), Sanjay Ahirwar (woodcraft), Atul Gupta (crystal crafts), Sushri Pooja Jharia (marble crafts) and Jitendra Vishwakarma (metal crafts).
CM expressed happiness after hearing the experiences of Sushri Varchaswani Pathik and Sushri Saanvi Trivedi, who secured jobs in industrial robotics and advanced electrical fields. Sushri Varchaswani said that before joining Global Skills Park, she herself was unaware of her talent in the cultural field and essay writing. Sushri Saanvi Trivedi said that the institute not only helped her secure employment but also boosted her confidence.
CM Dr. Yadav expressed hope that both young women, after joining the Trident Group, would inspire other young women as well. He also expressed hope that the agreements signed by Global Skills Park with Bajaj Auto Foundation, Magic Billion and Twee India Private Limited would further strengthen industry-education collaboration and skill development.
CM Dr. Yadav Appreciates Artisans’ Talent
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav appreciated the craftsmanship of artisans Shri Madan Prajapati (pottery), Shri Sanjay Ahirwar (woodcraft), Shri Atul Gupta (crystal crafts), Sushri Pooja Jharia (marble crafts) and Shri Jitendra Vishwakarma (metal crafts). He also appreciated efforts being made to showcase their talent across the country and the world. The Chief Minister planted a sapling on the Global Skills Park campus and later inspected the premises and laboratories, interacting with several young trainees.
Orientation Programme for 550 Newly Admitted Trainees
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav appreciated the craftsmanship of artisans Shri Madan Prajapati (pottery), Shri Sanjay Ahirwar (woodcraft), Shri Atul Gupta (crystal crafts), Sushri Pooja Jharia (marble crafts) and Shri Jitendra Vishwakarma (metal crafts). Dr. Yadav inaugurated the newly constructed multipurpose sports complex at Global Skills Park. He also paid floral tributes to Sant Shiromani Ravidas Ji and inspected the entire campus to review the facilities available there.
The Chief Minister interacted with trainees and enquired about their trades, training and future plans during his visit to the advanced laboratories.
During his visit to the Engine Lab, trainee Praveen Mankar briefed Dr. Yadav on the engine training process and the facilities available at the laboratory. CM interacted with Vidhi Raikwar, a trainee in Advanced Automotive Technology at the Autotronics Lab. Dr. Yadav heard about the training experience of Vidhi, a final-semester trainee.
Trainee Gaurav Rajput, pursuing training in the vehicle trade, discussed his training and employment prospects with CM Dr. Yadav.
During his visit to the Autotronics Lab, trainees Nandini Prajapati and Deepesh Prajapati explained the Advanced CNC and Precision Engineering course and shared details of the practical experience and technical skills they had acquired during their training.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also interacted with 550 newly admitted trainees during their orientation programme. The students displayed enthusiasm and confidence in his presence.
CM Dr. Yadav Interacts with Industry Representatives
Industry representatives appreciated the world-class infrastructure, modern technology and industry-oriented training available at Global Skills Park. They said youth graduating from the institute are being trained according to the actual requirements of industries.
In her welcome address, Global Skills Park CEO Sushri Aditi Garg said the idea of Global Skills Park was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Singapore’s ITE institution in 2015. Following an agreement with Singapore, the foundation of the institute was laid, and advanced technical training commenced at the main campus in 2024.
Sushri Garg said it was a matter of pride that Shri Ashok Barnwal, the senior officer who helped shape the establishment and infrastructure of Global Skills Park, was present at the programme as the Chief Secretary of the State.
Minister of State for Backwards Classes Welfare (Independent Charge) Smt. Krishna Gaur, along with officers, employees and trainees of the institute, was present at the programme.
