Only girls to speak at 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' in Pune: Rahul Gandhi
New Delhi: Former Congress President and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has stated that the courage and strength with which the youth have stood up to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'violent rule' to demand accountability is praiseworthy.
Rahul Gandhi further announced that the 'Students' Echo' (Chhatron Ki Goonj) program will reach Pune on August 22, and this time, the event will be exclusively for girls. He stated, "Now the girls will speak, and the country will listen."
On Sunday, Gandhi said on the social media platform X that the youth have raised their voices with peace, love, and good humor, making it clear that their voices can no longer be suppressed.
He said, "I am proud of every single young person—especially the girls who had to face the misconduct, verbal abuse, and violence of BJP goons, and were even forced to apologize to the Prime Minister."
