Sari Draping and Handloom Demonstration Competition to be held at Madhya Pradesh Bhawan New Delhi
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Bhawan, New Delhi, is organizing a "Sari Draping and Handloom Demonstration Competition" with the aim of promoting the traditional heritage of Indian handlooms and saris. The event will take place on August 10 at 4:00 PM in the auditorium of Madhya Pradesh Bhawan.
Participants will have the opportunity to showcase various traditional and creative sari draping styles. They may participate in teams of up to two people. Contestants will be required to complete the sari draping at the venue within 30 minutes.
Following this, participants will present their work through a ramp walk and provide information about the draping style they have adopted and its unique features. Individuals over the age of 18 are eligible to participate in the competition.
The objective of the event is to foster awareness and appreciation for Indian clothing culture, diverse traditional sari draping styles, and handloom textiles. The competition seeks to showcase the country's rich textile and handloom heritage through a modern presentation.
