Madhya Pradesh: CM Dr. Mohan Yadav to Gift e-Scooters to Meritorious Students on This Day
Madhya Pradesh CM Dr. Mohan Yadav will distribute e-scooters to meritorious students under the Mukhyamantri Scooty Yojana from Bhopal on September 16. More than 7,500 students who excelled in Class 12 at government higher secondary schools will receive the benefit.
The state-level e-scooter distribution programme will be held at Government Subhash Excellence Higher Secondary School, Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal, from 10 am. The initiative is expected to make it easier for students to pursue higher education and provide greater convenience for commuting to and from college.
The Chief Minister Scooty Scheme aims to encourage students to excel academically. To be eligible for the scheme, students must secure at least 70 per cent marks in Class 12 in their first attempt and stand first in their school. The scheme is available to regular students studying in government higher secondary schools under the School Education and Tribal Affairs Departments. The scheme covers students from all streams.
For the 2025-26 academic session, more than 7,500 eligible students across Madhya Pradesh will receive e-scooters.
More than 23,000 eligible students have benefited from the scheme so far. The state government has spent approximately ₹246 crore on its implementation to date.
The Chief Minister Scooty Scheme is an important initiative aimed at recognising and encouraging the hard work and achievements of meritorious students while supporting their pursuit of higher education. By encouraging students in government schools to perform better, the scheme is also helping increase their enthusiasm for education and strengthen their participation in higher education.
