Shri Parshuram Lok and Shri Krishna Lok to be Developed at Janapav on Lines of Shri Mahakal Lok
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Janapav is a glorious land where Lord Shri Krishna received the Sudarshan Chakra from Maharishi Parshuram. It is a sacred and historically significant place. He said that it is a matter of great fortune for everyone to remember Lord Shri Krishna at this holy site on the occasion of Janmashtami, which is also the birthplace of Maharishi Parshuram and the origin of seven-and-a-half rivers.
CM Dr. Yadav addressed the Bhoomi Poojan ceremony on Friday at Janapav in Indore district for the development of Shri Parshuram Lok and Shri Krishna Lok on the lines of Shri Mahakal Lok.
Dr. Yadav said that the Sudarshan Chakra bestowed upon Lord Shri Krishna by Maharishi Parshuram became an important weapon in his mission to protect truth and dharma.
Government to Showcase 5,000-Year-Old Glorious Heritage
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has a deep connection with Lord Shri Krishna and Lord Shri Ram. The government is working to bring this nearly 5,000-year-old glorious heritage to the fore once again. All places in Madhya Pradesh where Lord Shri Krishna is believed to have set foot will be developed as pilgrimage centres. Similarly, places associated with Lord Shri Ram’s presence will also be developed for religious tourism.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there are plans to develop Chitrakoot Dham, Janapav, ashrams associated with Lord Shri Ram’s forest journey, and other mythological sites, along with places associated with Lord Shri Krishna. Among the sites reflecting Lord Shri Krishna’s connection with Madhya Pradesh are areas associated with the abduction of Rukmini and places linked to battles fought in Dhar district. These sites will also be developed to bring their glorious history to life.
Shri Parshuram Lok and Shri Krishna Lok to Be Developed
Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has witnessed a major transformation in religious tourism. Following the development of Shri Mahakal Lok, the number of devotees visiting Ujjain has increased significantly. He said that, in the same direction, Janapav is being developed as a major religious tourism destination and a centre of spiritual consciousness. Shri Parshuram Lok and Shri Krishna Lok will be developed on the lines of Shri Mahakal Lok at an estimated cost of ₹17 crore.
The project will include redevelopment of the Yagya Kund, a grand auditorium, meditation cottages, a herbal garden, landscaping, a multipurpose building and expanded public amenities. A ropeway to the hilltop is also planned for the convenience of devotees and tourists.
