Madhya Pradesh: CM Mohan Yadav's Residence Resonates with Melodious Devotional Songs; Children Participate in Celebrations
Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav said that India’s global identity is closely associated with Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shri Krishna. They took human form on Earth for the welfare of humanity, endured numerous hardships throughout their lives, and vanquished evil forces, thereby paving the way for the happiness and prosperity of the people.
CM said Lord Shri Krishna learned 64 arts and 14 branches of knowledge at Maharishi Sandipani’s ashram in Ujjain. His life underscores the importance of education for all of us. CM addressed the gathering at the Shri Krishna Janmashtami Aakhyan Parv organised at the CM’s Residence on Saturday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed jalabhishek and offered prayers to Laddu Gopal, the child form of Lord Shri Krishna. He also broke a pot filled with butter and sugar crystals, fed butter to children dressed as Radharani and Bal Gopal, and showered them with affection by presenting them with gifts. The Chief Minister extended his greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami.
Mayur Dance and Malkhamb Performances Leave Audience Spellbound
As part of the artistic presentation of the Shri Krishna Aakhyan, various art groups from across the state staged dance-dramas depicting different episodes from Lord Shri Krishna’s life, including his birth, Krishna Leela, the subduing of Kaliya Nag, Govardhan Leela, the killing of Kansa and the message of the Bhagavad Gita.
Jugal Kishore Namdev from Jabalpur and his fellow artists presented the traditional Mayur Dance along with captivating renditions of devotional songs, including Braj Mein Anand Umang Bhayo Jai Ho Nandlal Ki, Aaj Braj Mein Holi Re Rasiya and Shri Krishna Govind Hare Murari. The performances filled the Chief Minister’s Residence with a devotional atmosphere and immersed the gathering in spiritual fervour.
Malkhamb artists from Ujjain, led by Bharat Singh Paliwal, also performed at the event. The audience was spellbound by the remarkable feats displayed by the performers. CM posed for photographs with the Malkhamb players and encouraged them. On the occasion, a Vedic Clock was also presented to the Chief Minister.
Sacred Sites Being Developed as Grand Pilgrimage Hub
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to developing and revitalising all places associated with Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shri Krishna as grand pilgrimage centres.
The Shri Krishna Pathey includes Sandipani Ashram in Ujjain, Janapav, Mahidpur and other pilgrimage sites. Similarly, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Chitrakoot Dham, associated with Lord Shri Ram, is being developed on a grand scale. He said that his government has begun celebrating festivals and religious occasions on a large scale and with great enthusiasm to acquaint the world with the glorious heritage of Sanatan culture.
