PM Modi congratulates Indian Junior Men’s and Women's Hockey Teams
India's junior hockey teams have won the AHF Junior Hockey Asia Cup in both the women's and men's categories.
The Indian women's junior hockey team won the AHF Junior Asia Cup for the third consecutive time, while the men's junior hockey team set a record by winning the cup for the fourth consecutive time.
Additionally, this marks the sixth time the junior men's hockey team has won the cup.
The women's junior hockey team defeated China 1–0 in the final.
With this victory, the women's team has also qualified for the Junior Hockey World Cup.
In this closely contested match, Sanika Chandrakant Mane scored the only—and decisive—goal in the 17th minute.
Meanwhile, the men's junior hockey team maintained dominance from the very beginning of the final match. Ajit Yadav gave the team an early lead by scoring in the ninth minute.
The Indian players continued their aggressive play, bringing the score to 3–0 by the end of the first half.
India maintained control of the match thereafter and secured another Asia Cup title with a 4–1 victory.

PM Narendra Modi has congratulated the Indian Junior Women’s Hockey Team on retaining the Asia Cup with a superb unbeaten campaign.
The Prime Minister said that the team’s success reflects the talent and determination of the players.
