Nagoya (Japan): Indian women's cricket star Smriti Mandhana has created history in T20 International cricket. In the second semi-final of the Asian Games 2026, Mandhana surpassed former New Zealand captain Suzie Bates to become the highest run-scorer in women's T20 International cricket.
Mandhana was just seven runs shy of this record before the match. By hitting a four off Marufa Akhtar, she surpassed Bates' record of 4,758 runs. With this, Mandhana's T20 International career runs have reached 4,765.
