Major Success for ‘Sampark Abhiyan 2026’ under Mukhamantri Jan-Vishwas Campaign

Bhopal/Gwalior: The ‘Sampark Abhiyan 2026’, launched in Madhya Pradesh to ensure the speedy resolution of electricity consumers' issues, has emerged as a significant public outreach initiative. Aimed at fulfilling the objectives of the Mukhyamantri Jan-Vishwas Campaign, this initiative—conducted by the Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company—has seen the organization of 5,969 special camps across 16 districts in the Bhopal and Gwalior regions so far. A total of 2,66,294 complaints were resolved on the spot at these camps.

Launched on May 14, the campaign aims to spare electricity consumers the hassle of making repeated visits to electricity offices for issue resolution and instead provide services close to their homes. According to the company, these camps are fostering transparency, ease of access, and consumer satisfaction regarding electricity services.

Over 3,000 Camps and Thousands of Complaints Resolved in Bhopal Region

In the Betul O&M (Operation & Maintenance) circle, 35,180 complaints were addressed across 529 camps, while 11,934 complaints were resolved in 303 camps within the Bhopal O&M circle.

In the Gwalior City Circle, 8,598 complaints were resolved across 353 camps. On-the-spot solutions for everything from electricity bills to meters

Immediate action is being taken on consumers' day-to-day electricity-related issues at the campaign camps. Complaints regarding erroneous electricity bills, meter readings, and billing issues were resolved on the spot. Additionally, a facility was provided to obtain new connections for rural households and agricultural pumps for just ₹5.

Services such as load enhancement, name changes, category changes, permanent and temporary connections, e-KYC, No Objection Certificates (NOCs), and the replacement of non-functional or defective meters were also made available at the camps. Issues related to smart meters, service cables, voltage, and transformers were also addressed.

Information on Services and Schemes Alongside Grievance Redressal

Camps organized under the ‘Sampark Abhiyan 2026’ also facilitated partial and full payment of electricity bills for consumers. Information regarding discounts on advance payments, the settlement of outstanding dues, and various public-friendly schemes was also provided to them.

A key feature of this campaign is the effort to streamline the entire process—from grievance registration to resolution—at the local level. The on-the-spot resolution of over 2.66 lakh complaints across 5,969 camps underscores the emphasis on addressing electricity-related issues by directly reaching out to consumers.

According to the Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, ‘Sampark Abhiyan 2026’ continues to work towards providing prompt, transparent, and accessible electricity services, in line with the spirit of the Chief Minister’s ‘Jan-Vishwas Abhiyan’ (Public Trust Campaign).
