How Diwali Gift Hampers Are Bringing Local Products Into Spotlight in MP's Sidhi?
Women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Sidhi district have received a significant boost this Diwali. Special 'Diwali Gift Hampers' featuring locally-made products have been launched. These hampers were unveiled during the 'Yuva Sangam' event, held to mark the conclusion of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'.
The initiative was launched by Member of Parliament Dr. Rajesh Mishra, Sihawal MLA Vishwamitra Pathak, Zila Panchayat President Manju Singh, District Collector Vikas Mishra, and social worker Dev Kumar Singh Chauhan.
The hampers contain traditional food items, handicrafts, and festive essentials prepared by local SHGs. These include mahua laddus and cookies, kodo (a type of millet), handloom textiles, peanut laddus, chips, earthen lamps (diyas), incense sticks, and rangoli stencils.
The objective of this initiative is to provide better market access for local products, increase the earnings of women, and encourage people to choose locally-made gifts during the festive season. MP Dr. Rajesh Mishra urged the public to support these products, noting that purchasing local goods would strengthen the economic self-reliance of women and bolster the local economy.
These gift hampers are available with attractive discounts. Customers can also customize them according to their preferences, needs, and budget, making them an excellent choice for families, offices, and various institutions.
To place an order, customers can contact Shailendra Dwivedi, District Manager for 'Small Enterprises,' at 9424746040.
The goal of this initiative is to transform festive shopping into an opportunity to support women entrepreneurs, promote traditional products, and create new livelihood opportunities within the district.
