With the arrival of Sharadiya Navratri, the city of Rewa in MP has become completely immersed in a spirit of devotion and celebration. Elaborately decorated Durga pandals, dazzling lights, and vibrant Garba and Dandiya events have breathed new life into the city.
Devotees are flocking to temples and pandals, seeking the blessings of Goddess Durga. At the renowned Maa Kalika Temple near Rani Talab, devotees begin arriving as early as 4 AM, and long queues can be seen there until late at night. Large numbers of worshippers are also visiting the Phoolmati Temple near Saman Tiraha and the Maa Kali Temple in the Govindgarh region.
Vibrant Pandals and the Spirit of Garba-Dandiya
Beautifully decorated Durga pandals at Khanna Chauraha, Gol Park, Amahiya Marg, and Bansghat have become major attractions for the public. As evening falls, the festive fervor intensifies at various Garba and Dandiya venues across the city—including Padmadhar Park, Eco Park, Atal Park, the Krishna Raj Kapoor Auditorium, and Ratahara Park.
People of all ages, dressed in colorful traditional attire, are participating in these events with great enthusiasm. At the Krishna Raj Kapoor Auditorium, devotional songs like "Aao Raas Rachein, Garba Raat Hai" and "Vrindavan Mein Dhoom Machi Hai" have infused the atmosphere with vibrant energy. Seeing the spirited dancing and rhythmic movements, the audience begins to applaud, and many even join in the dance themselves.
