Madhya Pradesh: Milk prices in Indore set to rise, check new rates
Milk prices in Indore are set to change starting October 1st. Along with an increase in the payments made to dairy farmers, an additional fee has been fixed for home delivery services.
Once the new rates come into effect, milk will be available at dairies and shops for ₹68 per liter. Besides, consumers opting for home delivery will have to pay an extra ₹1 per liter.
Under the new system, the payment made to dairy farmers has been increased by 33 paise per unit of fat. Milk payments are determined based on fat content; accordingly, new rates have been set for milk with a fat content ranging from 5.5 to 6.
Milk available at ₹68 per liter at dairies and shops
According to the new rates effective from October 1st, consumers will be able to purchase milk at dairies and shops for ₹68 per liter. This represents an increase of ₹3 per liter over the current price.
Consumers who opt for home delivery instead of purchasing milk from a dairy or shop will now have to pay a home delivery charge of ₹1 per liter in addition to the set price. Consequently, consumers will pay a total of ₹69 per liter for milk delivered to their homes.
