Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will be the chief guest at the main Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day event, to be held on November 1st at the Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal. The General Administration Department has issued an order designating chief guests for events taking place at both the state and district levels.

Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar will attend the event in Gwalior, while Deputy Chief Ministers Jagdish Deora and Rajendra Shukla will serve as chief guests in Jabalpur and Rewa, respectively. Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya will participate in the event in Indore. Other ministers and MLAs have also been appointed to represent the government at events to be held in various other districts.

‘Sankalp Vriksh’ in Honor of the Armed Forces

On the occasion of Foundation Day, CM Mohan Yadav will plant a ‘Sankalp Vriksh’ (Tree of Resolve) at the Shaurya Smarak in Bhopal. This initiative marks the beginning of activities leading up to the national Army Day celebrations; on January 15, 2027, Bhopal will host this national event for the first time.

A unique aspect of this plantation is that the tree will be nurtured using sacred soil collected from villages, towns, and cities across all districts as part of the state-wide ‘Meri Mati’ (My Soil) campaign. This initiative reflects the collective respect and gratitude of the people of Madhya Pradesh toward the soldiers who safeguard the nation’s borders and sovereignty.

The tree will serve as a lasting symbol of honor for both martyred soldiers and those currently in service. In the coming months, various programs focused on public awareness and honoring the military will be organized throughout the state, culminating in the national Army Day celebrations.
