Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh pavilion has emerged as a major attraction for delegates from across the globe at the international tourism trade show, 'ITB Asia 2026'.
Dr. Shilpak Ambule, High Commissioner of India to Singapore, inaugurated the pavilion at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, located within Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The inauguration was attended by Dr. Ilaiyaraja T., Secretary of Tourism and Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, along with departmental officials and key stakeholders from the global tourism industry.
Morena's Gajak and famous Ratlami Sev captivate guests
The Madhya Pradesh pavilion has been attractively designed around themes showcasing the state’s rich heritage, culture, abundant wildlife, spirituality, wellness, and sustainable tourism. International visitors are experiencing the state’s prominent tourist destinations firsthand through Virtual Reality (VR) technology. Furthermore, the traditional hospitality on display includes offerings such as the GI-tagged 'Gajak' from Morena and the famous 'Ratlami Sev'—delicacies that have greatly captivated the international guests.
This prestigious three-day tourism fair will continue until October 23. During this period, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board team is conducting a series of Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings with leading tour operators, travel agents, and investors from Singapore and Southeast Asia.
The primary objective of these engagements is to ensure that Madhya Pradesh’s tourist destinations are prominently featured in international travel packages and itineraries, while also promoting investment opportunities within the state’s tourism sector.
This international engagement will help in understanding the preferences and emerging trends within the Asian outbound tourism market. It will facilitate the development of a robust future marketing strategy, which will establish Madhya Pradesh as a prominent travel destination on the international stage and lead to a significant increase in the number of foreign tourists visiting the state.
