Cinnamon is what we think as one of the healthy ingredients in spices and consider it as an important part of our cooking. But do we know are we eating the real Cinnamon or we are faked by Chinese and Indonesian Cinnamon. It is one of the best ingredients in our food and if used regularly we may live longer and healthy life. Cinnamon is of 2 types:
Casia Cinnamon: It is a Cinnamon which is also termed as fake Cinnamon . It originates from China and lower Indonesia. This Cinnamon is a cheap quality of cinnamon and doesn't powder easily. It has a hard round surface and prolonged use can cause irritable nose, headache and sometimes prolonged effect can lead to Cancer. It is relatively cheaper than Ceylon Cinnamon
Casia Cinnamon
Ceylon Cinnamon:- This type of Cinnamon we find in South India and North Eastern part of India. This is very soft in nature and can easily be powdered. Eating or adding this cinnamon can lower risk of heart attack and lower blood sugar levels. It is one of the best ingredients in the household. It is quite expensive from Casia Cinnamon
