Jio Fiber Launched In 1600 Cities

Mukesh Ambani had launched Jio Fiber in 1600 cities of the country.  The plans will be starting from Rs 699/- to Rs 8499/ - per month.  The company will be providing minimum internet speed of 100 Mbps.  In its gold plan it is offering 4K set top box for streaming TV channels free with 4K television set would be complimentary in annual pack in this plan.

The company will also give device security in all the plans as well as modem facility.  From gaming to home video and gaming content it is coming with power packed lowest plans in the market.  These plans are going give tough competition to other big brands of the fraternity.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
