MTNL CMD: Staff Salary Of 2 Months To Be Released At The Earliest

In a major statement MTNL Cmd has assured that MTNL is trying very hard to release the salary of the staff of 2 months at the earliest.  He has not given any time frame but has said that the company is trying very hard to release at least 1 month salary at the earliest.  He added that the company has cleared salaries till June 2019 and is trying and checking every possible way to clear July and August salary.

Big telecom companies are facing problem in clearing salaries and various other obligation of the company since they are incurring losses which was aggregated more as tariff of various operators came down especially JIO which gave tough competition to government agencies.  The employee cost of BSNL is 75% and MTNL is 87.5% of their total income, while the same private companies it varies from 2 to 6%.

MTNL and BSNL as well as other companies are facing problems in clearing the salaries of the employees but just admitting the fact is enough that the company is facing crisis or the govt. saying that steps are being taken and reforms are being brought is enough.  What about the employees and their families who have worked all their life to make these companies what they were.  There are employees whose operations are due, some have to clear fees of their kids other may have rent to pay.  Simply saying that dues would be paid is enough or more can be done to help the families of the employees who are under acute financial crisis due to wages irregularities
